Decided to stop by my new, favorite dumpling place and got a to-go order of their chicken tikka dumplings. I love spicy food and, while not too spicy, they have just enough to not overpower the tikka sauce.

Bro stopped by with some fried chicken and fries from Walmart.... all I can say is, you're not missing anything..... bland chicken (for those haters, moreso than Costco's) and soggy fries.

I'll go for Costco's rotisserie chicken over Walmart's fried chicken any day.

I've always found the roast chicken in the Costco's around here to be very good and much prefer them over the more expensive ones found at Whole Foods. When it comes to fried chicken, my favorite is still KFC!

Tonight we are going to Bavette's. Haven't been there before, heard great things. This will be the exception to my "eating less meat" trend. |

Per se, I'm not the Amazon (or Amazon shopper - that's Mrs.) but so long as you go in identified by either the Amazon app or having a credit card scanned, you pick up whatever you want and then walk out. No additional scanning needed (or so we were told to do). And when you can get a breakfast sandwich for $3 (on sale) and one of 3 regular sandwiches for $5 (sale as well) - all freshly made to order, you give it a try. David |

Bavette’s was quite nice. We split the goat cheese baked with tomato sauce, salade Lyonnais (one of my faves), the NY strip steak, fries, and mushrooms. And chocolate cream pie. I decided to further go all in with a Plymouth martini (and blue cheese stuffed olives), a glass of Bordeaux, and a glass of port with dessert.
I don’t think I need to eat ever again. |
I was looking forward to going out tonight for a really good pasta dinner but my friend was exposed to covid so we cancelled.
