They are so popular with reservations that our table was the only remaining reservation table and it was by the front door so I ended up wearing my Disneyland jacket during supper. My goto Lamb dish, Rack of Lamb Provencale (which has a rarer cook than it looks in photo) roasted new potatoes and haricot vert, delicious way to end the week and paired with a 2019 Chateau Boucasse Madiran. I ended up also eating the remainder of the rack, 3 extra ribs worth :D

It is a sprig of oregano. Summer heat makes growing herbs a challenge here. Rosemary and oregano make it through the extremes on both ends. I have a huge bush of each out behind the Florida room. I should add dill and basil for the winter. Tarragon grows well and the flowers are gorgeous but I don’t ever use it. Maybe add sage? It did well back in Tennessee.
My problem is squirrels who are determined to dig up whatever I plant. |
Attended the banquet for our local special olympics organization and enjoyed a buffet with brisket and pulled pork, along with beans and potato salad, from Biemer's in Lawrence.

pbj - I had too much grape jelly toasted almonds - I’ll use this for the cookie exchange in my mom’s group today. I started to toast last night. Rudy’s Pizza, Manchester - good pizza, but the stars were the garlic aioli and the ndjua aioli (a good way to get the spicy flavor without getting too much oil on the pizza)
