In keeping with the "gameday" spirit, we made sheetpan nachos for dinner. Mine: chicken, black beans, onions, tomatoes, cheese, guac, salsa and sour cream.

If I hit the chocolate, I'll have something other than the wine to blame for my headache tomorrow morning.

There are technically two stores in Niles, one on Golf and one on Touhy. I think you probably went to the one on Golf, which would also be near Joong Boo and Patel Bros. There is actually one further from you too, as I think you said you're on the north side of the city. There's one in Wheeling, right on the corner of Milwaukee and Dundee. As far as ranking them, I think either of the Niles locations are excellent. The Wheeling location is 3rd. We sometimes go to that one for the produce as it's a few minutes closer for us. They have a nice meat and deli section too, but do NOT have the good seafood or bakery sections. I still consider Fresh Farms the best keep food secret in the Chicago area. I keep saying some day I'm just going to buy a bunch of vegetables there that I've never heard of and figure out how to cook them.

And yes, the Joong Boo parking lot on Kimball is possibly the worst grocery store parking lot I've ever seen.
BTW, we decided not to renew Sitka. We loved the quality of the fish, but we just didn't need that much. Probably gave away 8 salmon fillets to family. We decided we would just buy what we need at Boston Fish Market. It's comparable to Sitka, maybe slightly more. But we'll probably spend less overall since we'll buy less. Thanks again for the recommendation, we enjoyed it.

BTW, I saw someone refer to Fresh Farms as "Whole Foods for Slavs," which isn't too far off when you think about it. If the one on Touhy had just a few more household items (no 409?) and carried Califia almond milk (like the one on Golf) it would be my perfect grocery store.

My mistake in the description. It’s actually a sauce made from bacon and green Hatch chilies.
I just poured some on after about 3 minutes in the broiler, cook an additional 3-4 minutes, flip, pour more on side 2…then broil an additional 4 minutes.
I bought the sauce at BJ’s.

I'd say that description is pretty good. Perhaps Slavs and Balts (is that a word?) for those countries that are north of the Slavs would be more apt. Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, etc.

My wife said the other day "I'm going to Fresh Farms and Jewel". I asked why both. She pointed out that she couldn't buy things like paper towels and cleaning supplies at FF, which was the first time I realized that. I suspect there are a few of all those items, but maybe not much and not the brands we typically buy. I think what happens is I walk through the produce section and it's breath-taking, and then walk by the 49 types of cured and smoked fish with my eyes popping, through the cheeses which make me want to cry, and finally after looking at 307 types of sausages and deli meats, I'm exhausted and can't focus on the rest of the store. And all that at about 2/3 the price of lower quality items at Jewel or Mariano's. I wish I owned stock in FF, but alas am just a cheerleader.
