The crabs are definitely around in NJ. I generally crab off of the tributaries of the Shark River. However go to any other River or back bay location and you will find them.
With the notable exception of the mighty Jersey tomato, NJ produce and seafood are wildly under publicized. Another example is Atlantic lobster. You think lobster, you think Maine. However NJ lobster is just as good.

And agree on NJ lobsters -- Point Lobster in Pt. Pleasant has always been our go-to spot to get them.

Breakfast at the Hyatt Centric Park City "Escala Provisions Company Restaurant": "Power-Up Bowl" with poached egg (whole grains, spinach, kale, summer squash, tomato). No cheese today per my request, but also no avocado either for some reason; I didn't especially miss it.
Lunch at Squatter's brewpub: Greek salad with grilled chicken (hold the feta)
Afternoon snack from Porteña Empanadas (outside Templin Family Brewing): chicken empanada and potato salad
Dinner TBD, but soon.
-J.
Dinner from Guras Spice House: mixed vegetable soup, tandoori chicken tikka

Dinner last night at the The Escape Lounge at PHX: fish of some sort with lemon, chicken with vegetables in some Indian-style sauce, miniature rice ball, quinoa, salad, fruit
Evening snack at the PHX A7-9 AAdmirals Club: BBQ pulled chicken, pickles, cole slaw, lentil soup, snap peas, cucumber salad
Breakfast this morning from Bobby Van's Steakhouse (JFK T8): egg white omelet (peppers, onions, mushrooms, asparagus), cantaloupe and honeydew
Haven't been to Chevy's in a few years but I used to go to one in Emeryville for happy hour. Always a good time!

Dinner last night on LX somewhere east of Montreal. An excellent crevettes salad followed by a tough steak, but with a delicious Jerusalem artichoke salad and a very nice Swiss Pinot Noir.
Breakfast in the LX lounge at ZRH, with a good scrambled egg with chorizo and some rather good yogurt with fruit.

Lunch: Progresso Light chicken noodle soup, pretzels

Afternoon snack from MoCA Asian Bistro: miso soup
Dinner tonight will be shrimp and broccoli from MoCA. GrubHub had $15 off any order promo today for the NYC metropolitan area, but I found out about it after I had lunch.
I am defrosting ground turkey to start marinating tomorrow, and some shrimp to have for lunch tomorrow. Need to go grocery shopping tonight.

Dinner: shrimp and broccoli from MoCA, steamed string beans
You can expect to see me posting about baked or otherwise prepared whiting and haddock fillets in the future... the supermarket had a five-pound bag on sale! Then while fitting it into my freezer I found the bag of haddock fillets I got at Trader Joe's a while back so I need to start working on that. My fridge is filling up with pickle juice, so I may make my infamous pickle (turkey) burgers this week (or possibly a pickle-style turkey meatloaf). Then onto the fish whenever I finish that.

I’ve been waiting a week for my avocados to soften. Finally. Today was the right day for toast. And since I found myself some peppercorns, I ground with wild abandon to use up the last bit originally in the mill.
