Breakfast Buffet at Sainoniwa Hotel, Kanazawa

When in Japan (o.k., and when in Turkey), I store my pancreas in a locker, and overdose on sweets.

Besides offering quite a variety of dishes, one particular highlight of this hotel's buffet is the amount of spreads for baked goods.

There was even a giant bowl of diced pistachios, which seems to be a popular flavor these days in Japan.

Breakfasts at Park Hyatt Auckland - first was a croque madame and the second was eggs, lamb sausages, and hashbrowns - both mornings had a chocolate bread pudding

At any rate, as you can see below, we have a problem (and prominately displayed is Malted Moo Shake). We have friends visiting from Maine in a couple of weeks. One of them is "worse" than us and he has been informed that part of his job is to help us out. He says he's up to the task.

This photo does not capture the door of the freezer which has pints of Ben and Jerry's and Haagen Dazs

Great ice cream collection. Do you have cones? :-)
we had a big collection during 2020 home stay and now I barely buy ice cream except for what our son wants. My wife rarely eats ice cream at home - we get some frozen yogurt.

Heavy pizza from Blaze Pizza IAH with garlic pesto sauce and Gorgonzola - I didnt expect to go so heavy on the meat toppings - only $13, which seems like a bargain for freshly-made airport food

So here's the question. Did you eat it airside or did you bring it on board? I've brought pizza (from somewhere else) on board to some withering looks... Not quite what I expected (taste was not quite what I expected, but it could have been the ingredients they used... and was WAY too salty).

Airside - I had about 40 minutes before boarding began. Though, it was quite hot, and I had to let it cool a bit anyway.

I do wonder if you had a properly prepared pizza (eg, not made for high altitude), how much would the taste differ from being on the ground. I know many mass made burgers just become tasteless up in the air.

I'm new to this forum and can't photos at the moment, but I want to share with you that today I tried asparagus for the first time in my life. It was fried with garlic. I really enjoyed it!
