Best Online Spice Store

I am looking specifically for Hungarian hot paprika. Penzeys doesn't sell it, and I'm reluctant to buy it from Amazon. My local grocery stores don't sell it, and I'd prefer not to go to a specialty grocer for one item.

What are the best spice stores online that ship to the US?

I'm really surprised that Penzey's doesn't have it. My other go-to spot is The Spice House (coincidentally -- or not -- owned by the sibling of the Penzey's founder) but like Penzey's, they only have the half-sharp variety.

We have used Savory Spice for a number of years. Unfortunately, they don't have very many physical stores, but they do have online ordering.

I didn't know they were connected....I love Spice House Lake Shore Drive seasoning. Many of my spices get completely clumped up in my cupboard and I end up having to chisel them out of the bottle.

I use this place:

Canadian, but it appears they ship to the US. Though it might be pricey.

I order mainly East Asian spices, so I can't vouch for the paprika.

Excellent local spice shop. They ship.

Note you can buy by the bag (instead of the jar) for many items and save some $.

Kalustyan's has a huge selection of items. Haven't done mail order from them since I live nearby enough, but it's my go-to for harder to find things (and they do have hot paprika).

I was surprised as well, because I figured they'd definitely have it.

My local grocery store carries Pride of Szeged. Its Hungarian style but its good enough for me. The website is spicechain.com.

I have gotten hooked on spice blends from Spicewalla, a small manufacturer out of Asheville, NC. Their cowboy steak rub and honey and herb rub on salmon are outstanding. We will be spending August in AVL again and Im looking forward to a factory tour and loading up.

Thanks for the reminder--we have a big tub of their honey and herb rub that we found at Costco at one point (we've also seen a Spicewalla taco seasoning set there) and you inspired me to get some out and put it on my salmon for lunch.
