I truly miss INO. When my fiancee' and I were in SoCal in December (to visit Disneyland for her first time), I took her to an INO. She was on the phone with her parents raving about it while chowing down on a double-double :)

No living in TX, I can only get it when I visit family in NorCal, go to Disney in SoCal or am sent to the corp office in Scottsdale, AZ. There is NO substitute for an INO!!! :)

Thanks, chobby100. It's worth the SPAM to get a free DD and fries next time I am in California.

Is In-N-Out Burger that good?

In-N-Out is that good?

Portions of the post that previously appeared in this space has been deleted. I would provide you with a reason why, but doing so would likely be against the TOS.

No. YMMV.

I'd consider them one of the best fast food burgers I've tried. They have a nice freshness quality to them.
Would I walk across a highway overpass if I had a craving for one. Yup. But would I be really disappointed if I didn't get change to eat one while in the vicinity of one? Nope. You can make a burger of similar quality on your home grill.

If God made hamburgers, they would taste just like In-N-Out's.

Personally, I have a preference for Fatburger, but In-N-Out is definitely above average. The fries are excellent, and you will never get such great service in any other fast food joint.

If you are hoofing it across I-15, please, please, please be careful.

Personally I think their burgers are "OK" and the fries awful.

There is one less than a mile from my home, and it is very low on my list of fast food places to go to. I surely would not pay a taxi to take me to one

Just need to know what to order. Get the fries extra crispy, or say "well done" and order a "four-by-four" for your burger. Four patties, four slices of cheese and the works. Make sure you have lots of fish oil handy :D.

It's good by fast-food standards, but I'm not sure how much effort is it worth to get a $1.35 burger, when you are surrounded by world-class cuisine.

no... I don't even consider it special ;) yeah, we always stop off when we have a limo for the night (heck, why NOT :D)

but, there are many a burger joint in NYC (and of course, in Vegas hotels.. even at the coffee shops) that blow away in-n-out w/ respect to overall food quality.

Personally, a hugh trek to in-n-out is a waste of time, of course, YMMV. ;)

I grew up in California so a trip to one is a flashback to my adolescence.

A California burrito is a flashback to my drunken nights in Pacific Beach but that's a thread for another forum :D

It WILL be a stop during my trip to vegas... mmmmmm double-doubles..
