In Britain a Sunday roast. Steak and kidney pudding or fish and chips any other day.

Monkfish in Spain.

Bife de chorizo here.

Beans and rice. I know it's boring, but I can eat it daily, assuming I have massive amounts of hot sauce at my disposal.

One of my favorite meals was this chicken, beans, rice and plantains dish I got at a street side restaurant in Managua:

A patty melt. I am a sucker for these every time. And I'm pretty rarely disappointed. Maybe that's why I always order it if it's on the menu. It seems pretty hard to screw up.

Going out for my anniversary dinner here in a bit and reserved a table at the restaurant that my now fiance and I had our first dinner date. Two of my auto-orders happen to be on the menu tonight - a foie gras appetizer and veal sweetbreads for an entree. That made for an easy decision.

reminds me of a roadside BBQ (well let's say dirt road) on Caye Caulker in Belize...it was a fundraiser for the local futbol team

Fried squash flower / blossom - something I never make myself

Crème brulee - unless it is a silly flavoured one

A rich tomato based paneer curry

Quesadilla in a Mexican place (not regular restaurants).

A vegetarian full English (never found outside the UK, and rarely found there!) with quorn sausages etc.
