Does your drink of choice change with the season?
Mrs BamaVol and I dined out last night. She's pretty consistent - a glass or two of red wine with any meal, regardless of what we're eating. Normally I'm a beer drinker. Give me a pint of craft ale with almost any meal. If it's really hot out, I may opt for a glass of pinot grigio. I may also split a bottle of red wine with her when the temperatures drop. Last night they did and so I drank pinot noir. If this cold nonsense keeps up, I'll drink more wine than beer until Spring comes.
It's different if we're not eating. Mrs. BV will experiment with various fruity rum drinks or beer or a G&T while we sit at a bar across from the beach. And if I'm at home I will pour a scotch, rye or bourbon for myself before I start working in the kitchen on dinner preparation.
In summary:
Spring - beer
Summer - 90% beer, 10% pinot grigio
Fall - beer
Winter - 50% beer, 50% red wine

My preferences definitely change too, though it might be more to do with the situation than the weather.
I will always drink red wine, usually pinot noir and tempranillo.
In the summer, I tend to drink clear liquors in cocktails (mainly gin and tonic). If it's hot and I'm outside, I like beer and white wine. In the winter, I become more of a whisk(e)y drinker, generally scotch neat, an old fashioned, or a Manhattan. Sazeracs are always good too.
I like beer, but usually only drink it in conjunction with certain foods (Mexican, sushi, Thai), or if it's hot out.

I only order liquor on planes... gin and tonic in the summer and Woodford in the winter. I almost never order beer on a plane since a selection of warm, boring beers is usually what you are presented with.
I have a standing Wednesday meeting at a local pub that has a great beer selection. The taps rotate so the beer selection changes with the season... and that's just fine with me!

I generally drink the same things year-round but there are certain things that work best with a particular season. In the summer I'm more likely to enjoy a white wine or a light beer while sitting out on the patio on a warm afternoon or evening. Darker, heavier beers go better with cooler weather, as does whiskey for whatever reason.

One Pimms in the summer and rose wine when vacationing in the South of France.
Winter brings the occasional mulled wine, darker (e.g. whisky based) cocktails.

I guess I'm weird though since I hate tonic water. I always order my vodka with club soda. Tonic water tastes so bitter and I'm not sure how it is the least bit enjoyable to drink.
