Starbucks still sells the Global Icon series outside the USA and Canada. In the US and Canada, they sell the You Are Here collection.

I have 20 or so. Favourite probably being India or Belfast. Worked for the company a while back, so the collection mostly grew then. I don't usually frequent sbux while traveling though.

No, why would I collect something like that. It's not like they're going to increase in value.

Yeah, the Epcot mug was discontinued not long after it was released.

Or there's one like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/STARBUCKS-EN...item234bcc3358

Ok, all my SBUX mugs and full set of Asian destination demi-tasses are going into the locked curio cabinet.

Certain mugs can be very valuable, especially to collectors.

A friend of mine got me hooked on collecting the 'You Are Here' Starbucks mugs, so I just started, but I do not travel as much as I used to, and I am relying on her heavily to help pick me up a new one that I do not have when she gets a chance.

I do. And the collection is growing. I am almost embarrassed to admit it.

Picked up Bogota last week. Didn't even buy coffee- just the mug.

Greatest invention of all time. When I travel the only gift my wife wants is a mug from the destination. It makes my travel life soooooooo much easier .

I'm glad I'm not hooked... this would be a pretty big hit to my wallet! Fascinating though.

Collectors: What do you do when there is not Starbucks at your destination? I'm kind of picturing some to either a) never be in that situation by planning all trips around SB locations, or b) curl into a fetal position on the floor, crying.

Coffee Bean also does some city mugs.

Also, we were in Beijing last month and there is a very cool store inside the airport called NLGX. They had their own mug, with the "北" on one side and the "京" on the other.

Very cool.
