Two suggestions

Tyler's in Palm Springs has great sliders and perfect fries every time. Get the combo with an Arnold Palmer and your day has been made.

In Cincinnati, there's a place called Zips which claims to offer the best burger in town. I've had it. It's damn good. Try one. Zips is near The Echo which offers its trademark fish sandwiches on Fridays only. Zips on Thursday, Echo on Friday, and then Skyline on the weekend and I may never leave the city.

America's Best Burger Cities 2012

Travel + Leisure - America's Best Burger Cities 2012

I know we each have our favorites across America... :)

Top 5 from T+L's list :

1. Providence, RI
2. Philly
3. Chicago
4. Houston
5. San Juan, PR
For local burgers, my favorite is Rhea's in Roswell, GA. WRT chains, it's In-N-Out.

:)

Absolutely absurd. The best burger city is and always has been Los Angeles (and more importantly it's suburbs). After that, it would trickle north up the central valley all the way to Redding.:)

My favorite place for a burger is Tokyo. Four Seasons Marunouchi's wagyu hamburger is #1 for me.

Redding??? How do you know about THAT place?? ;)

Bartel's was always decent...good milk shakes... Pak Out was good too, but that's now a Walgreens IIRC...

Just had a fantastic burger at Pappas Bros in Houston. I think about it often!

I agree completely...I am not a fan of In-N-Out fries...:)

If you are ever in Austin, TX you can't miss Hopdoddy's -- gourmet burgers and they are SO GOOD!

And don't forget to finish it off with their Nutella & Chocolate Cover Pretzel milkshake... OMg!

I suggest going before the usual lunch and dinner rushes because people will wait in line for over an hour for these and yes... they are worth it. However, if you can't wait that long and just want to try the milkshake, bypass the line and order it at the bar.

Try KUMA's if you're ever in Chicago. Awesome burgers & great music playing all the time.

That's a pretty good place, but my favorite burger place in Austin is Hut's. I also would give third place to Hill-Bert's. Fran's comes in a close 4th.
