I think they're both enjoyable, but I often add a bit of lemon to orange juice, to lessen the saccharine impact...just not so much to try to make it taste like a grapefruit.

I completely agree...

...however, I wonder if comparing grapefruits to oranges is like...well...comparing apples to oranges...

Have you ever tried Rio Ruby Red Grapefruit from Pittman and Davis?
Their grapefruit is far superior over all other grapefruit!

I don't mind grapefruit, but I like oranges better.

I would like to have grapefruit but they always feel too sour compared to oranges, on average.

Thank you for resurrecting a 9 year old thread. Where did all those people go?

I like ruby red grapefruit and California navel oranges best. But I grab a pink grapefruit off the neighbors tree every other day because its free and would otherwise go to waste.

Oh, quoting my 9-years young self...I'm still a fan of both, but have found a new place that has the best oranges I've ever tasted: Veracruz, Mexico. Those oranges are in their own league of deliciousness.

However, I definitely do still enjoy drinking any type of grapefruit juice to orange juice when not in Mexico...

Put me down as firmly in the grapefruit column.
I probably haven't had an actual orange since I was a kid. I still like and drink orange juice, but if given the choice I'll pick grapefruit juice.

Have you tried Cara Cara oranges? They are pink inside and way better than navel.
For all of you grapefruit lovers.....
cut a pink grapefruit in half and gently squeeze out a little of the juice. Put grapefruit on oven safe pan and pour a little vodka over (replaces the squeezed out juice). Sprinkle with brown sugar and put under the broiler to melt the sugar. You're welcome.

I have had cara cara but theyre not going to show up here regularly. When I can move about freely again, I will look for some change of pace produce at Fresh Market. For now, Publix and Winn Dixie are nearby.

Ruby red for breakfast and oranges for the other 2 meals or snacks. No juice for me since I prefer whole fruit.

Yeah that's how I feel.

I like to have my grapefruit in something like a fruit cup or on a fruit plate.
