Ugh. None. One sip of any kind of champagne is all it takes to give me a headache for three days.
Sparkling cider for me and the wife, as usual. ;) Sincerely, William R. Sanders Customer Service Coordinator Starwood Preferred Services [email protected] |

Funny, that's right on the top of our list too, we have several bottles (like six or seven) of the domaine carneros stuff and wanted to pop the brute rose this year. |
I have 2 favorite cheapies. The first is Louis Roederer. It goes for about $17. Rated 90 or 91 in Spectator.
The second is Gloria Ferrer. This is even cheaper at $13. Rated the same as above; but tastes even better. While these won't linger like Dom, for the price, you can't beat the taste. Note, if I were with any of you, I'd be drinking Lanson Black Label Brut $28. The NY Times and Wall Street Journal both raved about them. |
I wish I could find a way to keep the Gloria stuff in the house, that doesn't last long at all. Funny, all those wineries are like a mile from each other, talk about a great growing region.

If as lucky as last year, I'll be drinking a 1959 Drappier. :) It was lovely.

Jacques Selosse Brut Rose NV, currently no longer available in the US - have 4 bottles stashed away.
Would love to find the Deutz in the US - had that last year for New Years in Paris, along with Cristal, Dom and a third - might have been a Winnie, but after four bottles we lost track..... Cheers, Jeff |
