Either a Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin or a couple of bottles of
Cl. de la Chapelle, which comes from a co-op in
Ville-Dommange, a small villiage about 10 miles from Reims.

We are going with the Laurent-Perrier Brut Rose for me and the Mrs. Our guests get Chandon Blanc de Noir.

'85 Bollinger RD, because its one of the few champagnes I really like (dry but with good flavor). Unfortunately I only have 4 bottles left, so I'll have to find a new favorite soon.

[edited to add]: I just noticed that despite having the 2nd lowest number of posts of anyone on this thread, I've been a member almost 1 year and a half longer than anyone else posting so far. Odd. Clearly I need to post a LOT more :-)

Pol Roger Cuvee Churchill

My favorite

How is it?? I have been meaning to try it but wanted to get more info before splashing a lot of money on it. (Booze is highly taxed in Canada....) :(

We got to try the '95 in wine class this fall (although the teacher argued that drinking it at only 10 years was "infanticide"). My main impression was that it had a very strong yeasty/nutty flavor, more so than Dom Perignon vintage. But I'm sure liveon777 has drunk more of it than I have, so I should probably let him talk. ;) And I'm curious what it's like when it's not too young, too!
