Just the meat might be OK, maybe riblets served with a bit of fruit sauce and sides of green salad and French fries. Now I'm getting hungry.

The meal you describe doesn't sound bad at all. -J. |
I haven't had one in probably 10 years. The problem I have/had with it is that it's totally drenched in (a not good) BBQ sauce. It makes for a drippy, slippery mess. It would be so much better if there was just a light glaze of BBQ sauce. The raw onions also ruin it.

I tried the McRib locator and struck out.
However the official McDonald's site says they're available at the 20 closest restaurants. Lunch! -J. |

Where on the official site did you see a place that said they had it? The McRib Locator doesn't show anything remotely near me. There has to be a McRib somewhere in NYC.

This can be the goal for your next work trips, although I suspect it's too late to pick routes with that in mind.

I 'll be trying the neat trick of removing the ribs
Same for pork roasts, bone in beef roasts, if you're cooking them to be tender the bones should just come out clean. |
I need to pick up a couple of these ... one is not enough !!

Great, 50 miles from me. Either there is no real site, or I am not getting a McRib :(

The linked site says nothing near me at all, which is surprising as I think of the Midwest (and South too) as being pork country

It's a weird site - I put in different zip codes and get different mixes of restaurants. For example, if I put in a zip code for about the center of Kansas City, I get shown a many options extending 25 miles south but zero options going north, as if the Missouri River is a magic McRib Line.
Then I throw in a zip code that is barely north of the river, and all of those McDonald's show up. So I *think* it's everywhere, but I don't actually care enough to go find out. |
