No, really. Remember back then? This thing was terrible and everybody made fun of it until it was discontinued.

Then it was completely gone for what seemed like a whole generation. I don't recall seeing it in the 90's anywhere in the world, U.S. or elsewhere.

Only in the past few years do I recall the media buzz about the McRib, complete with stories of expats flying home to get them, morning talk radio shows holding contests to give them away, the Internet buzzing wildly about them, etc.

What changed? Oh, I went and got one today at lunch. Sort of tasty I suppose, but it's not like it's Oklahoma Joe's... :)

Personally, I liked the McRib's more in the late 80s / early 90s. I remember making them. They're just pork patties submerged in BBQ sauce with pickles and onions. I like them but don't get the extreme hatred OR extreme love.

Was at Mcd and did not get the McRib. Got chicken nuggets.

I was very excited to see McNuggets do not contain egg ingredients anymore. Now Miss Swede has four items she can eat off the menu (hamburger, McNuggets, fries, and apple pie).

I would love to do the same, but the entire time I'm eating them I'd be thinking "1000 calories, 52g fat."

Is Pepsi available only at previously owned Pepsi companies, like Taco bell, KFC and Pizza Hut?

na, some bars are pepsi only products, I know one in particular that is all pepsi except they don't have diet pepsi, only diet coke in cans.

 diet pepsi is so much better.

That McRib looks NOTHING like the one I had at my local McDonalds once. I thought it was pretty bland. This one looks delicious!

I like Pepsi restaurants because they usually have Diet Sierra Mist and Diet Mountain Dew, as well. Diet Coke restaurants usually only have Diet Coke, which I prefer to Diet Pepsi, BTW.

I always order mine without pickle, I figure that probably knocks 200 calories or so off.

Was at McD last night. I wasn't in the mood for the McRib so I got the 20 piece nuggets. After reading this thread I got the sweet chili sauce. And Its better than buffalo and creamy ranch sauce they have.
