We're in the middle of apple country in Wenatchee. My favorite apple, bought from a roadside stand, picked that morning, is a Fuji, followed by Honeycrisp.
When I was at WSU for a while, had some excellent apples there  I think 25+ varieties... Best one was I think a Yellow Transparent. They had an annual apple sale complete with unpasteurized apple cider :D |
1. Honeycrisp (I have one for lunch today^)
2. Gala 3. Braeburn |

As a kid my folks had a cabin on the Russian river and my mom would buy a case of Gravensteins and we had pies all summer long, |
Pink Lady - and only Pink Lady!
|
Seeing as I like a very crisp and slightly tart apple, my favorites in no particular order are -
Eve Braeburn Granny Smith |

Are Gravensteins still available? I read somewhere alot of the orchards around Sonoma County were being removed to make room for Grapes.

I have several apple trees out in the yard. I have Red Delicious (my favorite), Jonathan apples, and Golden Delicious and Granny Smith.
I do love a good crisp apple! :D :D |
I'll add a vote for Pink Lady apples as well - though Fuji's will do too if there's no Pink Ladies available.
|
Love Honeycrisp but for price you can't beat the Royal Gala from Costco.
|
Fuji or give or take Granny Smith...
|
Fuji.
