Extra drinks on your tab, what did you do?

Just let your server/bartender know there's a mistake. Items get entered onto the wrong tabs all the time. Managers probably spend half their time just fixing these errors. Hopefully, but not always, they'll catch it before you're presented with the bill.

I've been to some bars where saying no isn't an option if you want to leave intact ... mostly run by Russian mafia in various parts of the world, and the "extra drinks" are explained as part of a "cover charge". If you plead having no cash or credit card, they'll offer to help find it in your wallet. Generally wisest to pay and then contact your embassy later

Also it seems to happen in the same bars far too often to be a coincidence. After it happens more than once I will not return to that bar and will warn others about the rip-off.

at the local restaurants in many place in Asia, especially in Taiwan, they leave the beer bottles on the table or on a crate on the floor so the drunks can't argue about how many bottles of beer they had.
to the OP it depends on where you are. It might be better to just pay and escape rather than getting stabbed or hit over the head with a bottle

Dispute the charge. Some places have cameras and I would ask to review the footage.
Best to stay away from such dives.

If one is concerned about one's immediate safety, I'd suggest paying via credit card and leaving quickly, taking the signed receipt with you (or simply signing some fake name on the receipt instead of yours). You could then call the credit card company and dispute the entire charge at a later time.
Otherwise, I'd suggest politely asking the server to remove the extra drinks from the tab.
I agree with a few other comments asking about why this is even a thread...

; but whenever I'm drinking for fun, not business; and I try not to run a tab.
