I guessed it was a plant pretty quickly. Maybe that appearance and plug for her cookbook was her "no more cheating on the road" settlement.

Another F*^%ing Yawn. He gives them how to video's and they still screw it up? I don't think any of these folks are actual cooks. Anyone who has ever been in a kitchen knows you don't try to saute something by putting it in a cold pan before you start the fire.

I'm still trying to figure out his fasination w/risotto. I guess because it is such a basic item?
But yeah, cold pan to seer/saute' food? They are handed a book to learn his recipes and how to videos and still blow it?
I almost prefer 'Next FoodNetwork Star' since those guys have to cook.

oh yeah, there is hardly any eye candy this season...
