Beer friends:

Don't forget to purchase FOBAB tickets today at 10 am Central if you want to attend. As a member of IMBIBE, I was able to get mine already. I will be attending the afternoon session (1-5 pm). I think this best, as some beers may sell out. And navigating home at 10 pm after all those beers might be difficult. I think I will get a room downtown that evening.

Link at http://www.illinoisbeer.com/fobab/

IMBIBE members get into the afternoon session an hour early, which makes it more pleasant by far. I imagine that if you join soon, you'll be able to do that. It's $35 a year:

About $51 with fees. Pay with Paypal. Last year it was one per person at a time and I was able to get 2 before it sold out. You can buy for a friend/spouse, but they check IDs so you cannot really hope to resell easily.

Maybe even faster. I got an email saying 10000 people were trying for 2200 tickets.

My brother got 1 ticket into his shopping cart within 5-7 seconds of noon (they changed the time again) and when he tried to pay got an error message; that was that.

Did you get afternoon or evening? If the former, see you there.

Never heard of FindTheBest.com, they'll never have any credibility with me after this ranking.

Some of those should not even rate as beers!

Same here. I saw the Yahoo article, looked at the beers, and was shocked that some of those were considered "best" beers.

I am wondering how someone who runs a site called findthebest.com could sell out this blatantly. CEO O'Connor should be embarrassed.

What a joke on that "Top 10." No way that is unbiased. It's closer to being a "Worst 10."
