Had Flossmoor Station's new Smoked Oktoberfest yesterday. Quite nice: not too smoky as many such beers can be, and a gorgeous copper-orange color. As a Mug Club member, I got a free liter, and I have to say it seemed stronger than the advertised 6.5%. I wobbled home on foot and took a 2-hour-plus nap afterward.
Go to the brewery and you can get 2 cases of 12 of those. And cheaper. Take a friend and get 4!
Yes, now recently available that way in Chicagoland
In Lisbon, IMO it's a toss up for vileness between Sagres and Super Bock. I think the latter is the nastier. Just drink German beer while there. Or wine.
I got pick-pocketed on the subway in Lisbon. Be very careful.
Getting my Three Floyds on: all are from
Calumet Queen - koelsch style ale
Blackbeard
Zes Zes Zes - very good since I have had it before - a Binny's here had it stored in the back room and would only let you have one bottle. Just down the street I found a few more.
Risgoop collaboration with Mikkeller

Currently going through some Pyramid Heffeweisen.
I'm back in the US for a short time so making my way through all the tasty beers I can get my hands on while I have time.
