Yes, but it was about 1/3 smaller than a regular pie. Just enough for 2 bites, and after the first, I couldn't continue with the second.

 :D But you get bonus points for actually trying it!

How about the Pepper Chicken McGrill in Singapore?http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/membe...ll-mcd-sin.jpg

Catsup. Yes Catsup. You have to pay for it at the McD's in the Frankfurt Germany airport.

I was outraged!

You have to pay for Catsup/ Ketchup at every McDonalds outside of the US as far as I recall.
I always ask them why I have to pay for ketchup. I tell them that McDs is an American company and ketchup is give to us in the US. I rarely ever get it for free but I always try... LOL

Interesting that the Chicago Tribune has almost the exact topic of this thread with 34 menu items and pics!

Great article! I check out McDonalds everywhere I visit & love trying out the weird, local items.

Loved the lobster rolls in Maine, not so much the kimchi Big Mac in Seoul. Hawaii adds spam to their menu, and I recently had my first taste of bitten balls at the McDs in Amsterdam.
I seem to recall eastern Canada having a cheese curds and gravy option for their fries a while back.

Canada doesn't charge neither.. unbelievable that you have to pay for ketchup anywhere.

In Canada, you can pump your ketchup into a small paper cup for eats..:)

Interesting sub-topic.

I have not been charged for ketchup in Brazil, Hong Kong, Mexico or Korea. I have been charged in the Philippines, and UK. Others I don't remember.

I like the soft serve ice cream in Hong Kong. Apart from the standard boring one, you can get it with with different flavours swirled through (grape, green apple, etc - so very typical HK!)

In 2008 while in Vienna, I had some very tasty and good quality curly fries, which came with ketchup as well as a second, nice European-style dip (name escapes me now). Returning earlier this year, I was sad to find that they don't do those curly fries anymore!

This month in LA, I tried the new apple-caramel sundae and quite enjoyed it ^

McDonald's here at home in Australia is usually quite boring, but recently they were celebrating their anniversary here, and released some new McFlurries. The double choc fudge one was very good :D

I mostly avoid McDonald's while on overseas adventures in favour of real local food, but if there's a very unique item on the menu then I'll make a point of trying it for the novelty.
