If someone transfers their DC points into your account (a la CC), do they have to register for the promo too, or is it just the recipient?

I've already got my own 20k DC points lined up and ready to go...why not try and get some more.

Enrollment isn't working for me at the moment - looks like they are having technical problems...

If I apply for the DL AMEX today, how soon (i.e. before Dec.13?) will the miles hit my account?

Oh it certainly is! Read the T&Cs in Dining, Home and Leisure

It took about a month for my first miles to post after signing up for the card (made a purchase the day I got it). I signed up for the Plat. I got 5000 miles first and then the other 15k a week or so later.

Question Is there a CAP on this

Does anyone know if there is a Cap on the maximum number of eligible miles? There are a lot of posts talking about 20,000pt transfers, but I could not find any reference to a max in the terms?

Thanks

Diners Club is also having a 35% bonus for transfers right now..
30,000 DC points = 100,000+ Skymiles? ^^

Thanks. Looks like my only option is to transfer points from SPG.

I think 30K DC points gets you 85,500 Skymiles:

30K Original transfer
10.5K 35% bonus
45K 150% bonus on base

85.5K Total

I know from a transfer earlier in the year that the DC extra bonus (in this case the 35%) posts in the bonus column not the regular miles column so I don't think you would get the 150% on the extra 35%. Just my 2 cents, but that seems to be how others are looking at it as well.

No max in the T&C. I think there is discussion of 20k because multiples of 20k yield the biggest payoff from SPG points.

Note that the Diners Club promo yields 3.375 miles per point (2.85 if the 35% bonus isn't bonused), whereas SPG yields 3.125 miles per point. Both very rare deals indeed!
