Where do you put your medallion luggage tag
So I finally earned Silver on Delta. I got my packet with the card, key fob, and luggage tag. But I suddenly had an interesting dilemma- the tag isn't really personalized, so it is mostly for show, right? Do I put my tag on my checked luggage, or on my carry on?

My GM tag stays in a drawer. The FT tag goes on the carry on. ^

Hi,
Mostly for show indeed, but in non US stations (or maybe too in the US) i've had the occasional luck of having my bag relatively fast, i have no idea if this is because of the tags or just plain luck, but some ground handlers may consider this some elite tag and sort them better?
It has your skymiles number, so a DL rep could access some useful info if your bag gets lost i suppose... so i'd put it on the checked luggage rather than the caryy on...

Since I only do carryon, mine goes on my tote bag.

Mine goes on my briefcase because if I put it on my luggage, the CRJ "pink tag" baggage handlers will break it or tear it off the bag almost immediately.

If you put it on your checked luggage, don't plan on keeping it very long. Baggage belts will damage it and rip it off your bag.

Mine is in my carry on, just attached to my FT yellow tag. BTW, where's everyone FT tag? 25,000+ miles on skyteam in the last 45 days and haven't seen a single one besides mine.

In the garbage...I don't adorn my luggage with anything denoting my credentials or affiliations.

Mine goes straight into the drawer. I do, however, have FT tags on all my bags.

I've got the Medallion tags and the FlyerTalk tags on my briefcase and carry-on rollaboard. On the bags that I check twice a year, I make sure FT tags go on there.

I never see FT tags either unless I'm at a DO.
