I did a Starwood transfer today and I think they will post by tomorrow--it said 24 hours.

If you do business with EVERYONE in the above list you get credit for one partner... not one each.. but a grand total after taxes of one partner. So your Ameriprise and your Shop 4 Miles business adds up to one partner.

There is no inference. You don't get two.

So class, put away your books and take out one sheet of paper. We will have a single-question quiz on the reading assignment of the T&C. The question is: How many unique partner credits will one get if they do business with more than one partner in the section prefaces with "one activity among the following":

A) one
B) one
C) one
D) one

Yes Johnny, this is an open book quiz. No Johnny the T&C are not classified documents or missing from the library. No Johnny you can not go get a drink of water. Sit down and take your quiz.

Ahh! So you now know how many of us felt when you kept on constantly asking for reasssurance that the CO 10,000 mile Budget car rental bonus was for real and that the miles will post if you just followed the simple rules.

Welcome to the club.

Not the same at all. The T&C for that promo were only one paragraph. Also, the debate and inquiries had not yet come to fruition when I, and others, had question. This is different because the T&C are pretty darn clear on this subject. So roll your eyes all you want. Go back and do your homework. In that thread, once CO INSIDER chimed in the questions started getting answers... and even he was vacant answers on some of the issues. It is not the same at all. So bring it on, AIR.

Say what you want, but the T & C for both the Continental Budget promotion and the current Delta promotion are as clear as the other.

The fact that the Continental Budget promotion was one paragraph highlighted the fact that it was clear and that it could be reduced to but one paragraph.

Moreover, no one who had performed under that promotion has come up short in their mileage earnings.

As I had noted in those threads in the CO forum, if you had wanted to see an unclear promotion whose terms and conditions were vague or non-existent, I directed you to last year's Delta partner promotion.

And, if you had not noticed, others have noted how yours truly and many others were quite persistent in getting detailed answers from Delta to better understand that promo.

The only reason why the current promotion is "clear" is because Delta built upon the inquiries made to it from last year.

Even though it is doubtful that you will fess up to being a Henny Penny, I think you can now see how utterly excruciating it becomes when the terrms and conditions for a certain promotion are clear, and yet one continues to get inane questions concerning same -- whether out of a conscious decision by the questioner not to bother to read the T & C outlined by the offeror, or because they are a Nervous Nellie, and want their hand to be held through the entire experience, because a comma, or other punctuation mark may have been out of place.

I hope you have learned your lesson.

To change to subject and hopefully create another activity, what is everyone's input on if the following will count.

I have only 500+ Marriott points left in my account. I see on the Marriott site that I can buy points at the rate of $12.50 per 1000 points.

I can transfer 1000 points to Delta for 1000 miles

So for $12.50 I can have 1000 miles via Marriott and 1000 bonus miles from Delta assuming it puts me over the line in activities?

Am I reading this correctly? Seems like a good deal for the promo.

According to this webpage:

http://www.marriott.com/rewards/usep...MileageRewards

you need a minimum of 10,000 Marriott points to transfer to Delta.

Perhaps someone else can come up with a way to side-step this minimum. Otherwise, this is not going to be the cheapest way to pick up another partner activity.

Thanks, I missed that page.
I was going by http://www.marriott.com/rewards/usepoints/tranpurc.mi
which mentioned transfers in the 1000 point amounts, but now I see that is not the case.

Drat and Double Drat!

I really don't care for flowers but I might just have to send some to someone for no reason at all except for points.

Both teleflora.com 1800flowers.com has gift baskets that contain candy, wine, fruit, cheese, etc. Also you can find personal pampering collections with soaps, lotions, etc. You could send some to yourself and then sell the stuff on ebay.
