Yes, should be sooner than 36 hours. I hope it continues to move quickly, though.

Damn, it was a lot less than 36 hours, Felix is a category 5 hurricane with winds of 165 mph.

Another tropical wave in the Atlantic become better organised on Saturday as well. This wave, now labeled 98L, could develop further and enter the Caribbean sometime in the middle part of next week.

Are you or are you not the Chief FT Meteorologist ??

As a highly paid professional, we’re not accepting any of your “Whoops“ or “Damn” verbiage.

We need the straight scoop.

Where is this honker going and when is it going to strike??

Actually, he's just the "Hurricane Tracker". Based on the job title, I don't think he has to make predictions... just tell us what's happening. Any predictions are above & beyond (and greatly appreciated).

Actually, my forecasting was a bit better than the NHC.

Good point, scoow.

That’s waaaaay above his paygrade as a FT Talking Head™/Lame-O Hurricane Tracker.

A hurricane watch has been issued for Honduras. There isn't one for Nicaragua but there needs to be. A tropical storm watch is in effect for Jamaica and Grand Cayman. Effects in the tropical storm watch area should be fairly minimal.

Felix is FINALLY down to TS Felix. There could be some serious flooding problems down there. Let's hope this thing doesn't stall, be forgotten about, and become another Mitch.

Watch out east coast Florida residents, tropical wave close by and probably will be a depression or a storm later today.

Indufan, please use your weather connections to make certain that Florida is storm-free in late October.
