I went out ORF-SNA(Jun 18) rt through ATL same day and called about upgrades and I made the list and was able to get first out and back. The good part was getting bumped in ATL($200) on DL connection. I got off the plane feeling that it was a nice trip and I've not felt that way in a while. Next week may be different.

SAT-SLC 13Jun - no luck on L fare
SLC-SMF 13Jun - upgraded on L fare
SMF-SLC 17Jun - upgraded on U fare
SLC-SAT 17Jun - upgraded on U fare
75% is probably good odds but why do I feel like I have to grovel? All upgrades were at the gate last minute....hang around for your piece of candy kid..that is, if you're good!

Didn't fly Delta much last year. I was a PM. Now I am a nobody. Job change, contact with AA and a lot of trips to the North West caused me to change airline needs.
Nevetheless, started the year with no status on DL and 16 500 mile upgrades in my bank. Yesterday, I flew Dl from ORF to CVG on a L and was upgraded (not shocked because there were 6 or 7 empty seats up front), and CVG to DEN (also an L) and was also upgraded even though every seat in front was filled.

I'm still at 100% (4/4), all on flights to and from LGA.

Two for two, just got back on DL 107, JFK-SFO on BusinessElite. Called at exactly 24 hours + five minutes, between being on hold and asking for the upgrade, the rep told me that I am a couple minutes early, put me on hold for a bit, and come back and told me that I got the one of the last BE seats
Edited to add that this was on a cheap U fare for about $180 round trip all taxes and fees included.
Unfortunately, SFO-JFK BusinessElite will be history in a few more days

OK, I am going into uncharted waters. I always book K or higher but this one I just had to book in U. SLC-CVG on Wednesday.

757. What are my chances? Looks like they might need to free up some Y seats to me. I know that might change between now and then.
