YFC-BOS-DTW-NRT Waitlisted/Contact Delta

YFC-BOS-DTW-NRT Waitlisted/Contact Delta
I thought I'd lucked out and gotten YFC-BOS-DTW-NRT for Dec 16th. Now I check and see I am to "Contact Delta" for BOS-DTW and "Waitlisted" for DTW-NRT. What does this mean? Are my travel plans now efectively screwed? Thanks for all responses!
