one more minor benefit for your list. As of Sept 1st, AA is offering any EXP left sitting in coach one free alcoholic drink and one free pre-packaged snack item on flights with buy-on-board catering in coach. They already offer this on the regional flights (American Eagle) that have a service.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 3G: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_0_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7A400 Safari/528.16)
That's a great benefit. Would love to see DL add this to DM's.

If DL is still listening, how about extending two free changes to revenue itins per year to PMs and DMs? I'm not talking about waiving a fare difference, just the change fee (ASC) of $150 dom/$250 intnl. To insure that corporate based revenue was protected, maybe even only allow such changes to itins that have a Sat. night stay and additionally only allow changes to the day before/day after/same day as originally ticketed. Most of the time, I can do these same changes through SDC or SDS so I'm thinking this would be an inexpensive bennie. However, it would provide peace of mind for two times per year when I don't feel like taking my chances with SDC/SDS. Your thoughts?
Now do I think $150 is starting to be the typical we don't want to be in the airplane business but the fee business, of course.

I am one of the people that believes there should be a penalty for changing a ticket. I remember when it was $50, than $75 for a short, time $100, etc. Since I am buying a ticker that is not refundable I should pay the coffer to change.

HECK, I'd love to be able to use my drink coupons on BOB! For a $7 drink I can't even get a $4 thing of M&M's (though maybe I could use some logic with the FA after BOB is done and get 'em to take the "cash" from a drink and use it for the bob & v/v).
Actually free drink in Y and/or food would be great. It actually makes me kind of want to get elite status on AA (thinking of switching some flying their way...)

Somewhere along the way, it became all about the revenue generating. It's a whole extra line of business, "selling" changes for $150.

* Just under $900 in refare savings
* Major changes in plans for 3 trips x 2 people. In fact, the ONLY business we've given DL/NW since March 8 have been trips to ATL that were changed w/o penalty from trips to elsewhere on WN. If DL/NW were our airline of choice
we'd have been stuck or fleeced

Mike never said WN is for everyone, never said he uses them to fly internationally, or that they would be right for you. As with any airline choice, it all depends on what fits best for each person.

Change fees are one thing that will keep us firmly in the Southwest camp. We haven't even had 6 months of service from WN here (started at MSP March 8) & I've already saved almost $1,800 from not having change fees:

You should definately stay with WN since your plans change so often.
