I meant to post here on Thursday night, one of my friends who is a gate agent at SLC let me shadow him for a few hours. We worked three flights (one of which we did both the arrival and departure, and was delayed almost an hour!). I never realized how much is actually involved in boarding a flight, and there is quite a bit of paperwork. It was also interesting to see how they handle overbooked flights, since they try to reroute passengers first before asking for volunteers. They even let me make a few of the announcements! I was very glad I had the experience.
Also, last night I turned in my SIDA badge since it was the last day of my internship with the Department of Airports. It was such a great experience, and I really enjoyed seeing things from the airport's point of view, especially having been with Delta for all of last year. The terminals specialists and I went for ice cream before I left, which was fun I'm actually surprised that I will miss it, since they seemed more like family to me than just colleagues.
Finally (time for the big news), I'm flying out to Atlanta for the day on Thursday for an interview with Delta's revenue management department It's for an inventory analyst position; they basically look at how many seats should be available at certain price levels (or fare buckets). I am beyond excited and am looking forward to learning more about the department and meeting the team. Then the Saturday after that I will be graduating! It's going to be a very exciting week :-:

And tomorrow is my next change to be: # 1 4 0. Better known as "Number One for None." See you at the gatehouse in ATL.

Ugh--I hate neighbors... I think I want to buy 40 acres of land and build a house in the middle of it, so I don't have to deal with neighbors...

scoow made her very first post in that thread. Since then, you have undoubtedly been having secret meetings with her in various places (I suspect that the next one might be in Ireland) and that is why you have been having such fun!
