Hey, good news for me...I guess I now become the Delta Lounge member who owns the oldest, fully functional Honda Civic...unless someone else out there is still puttering around in something older than a '91.

Like you Canarsie, I'm not anxious to let it go...especially with gasoline prices so high. But, as soon as I get it paid off, who knows?

So how much did Doug Parker pay you for your car?

Hey, how is jfe these days? We don't see him much here anymore, or am I missing something?

And Cholula, how is your island/s vacation going? I guess you scared the sharks off with that lime-green speedo + black support hose.

Heehee, I did some of my grad studies at U of Oslo and Peace Research Inst.

My background is mixed Swedish/Norwegian, and they weren't always friends, as you probably know....

But they have a bigtime Lutheran thing.... I'd rather go back to some of the old Eddas.....

Exactly two months from today, I would have owned that car for 20 years.

There were a lot of memories associated with that car over the past 19 years and 10 months...
I had an older friend who worked at the local College and she bought a VW bug when she was a kid and she never owned any other car and she never really wanted to and one time she said to me, "Wouldn't it be cool if I never ever had to buy another car?" and she lasted just about as long, so funny, it was just short of 20 years and then someone offered to buy it and she agreed.

But it was a bit sad.....

That's because I don't contribute anything useful to FT

I agree, I don't see him either

I am still unemployed, and the holidays are going to be a bummer, but my daughter could care less, she is just as happy as ever

And, so what’s your point??

Being unemployed IS a bummer.

Fortunately your lovely daughter is not critical of the situation.

She’s blissfully ignorant of the implications and will hopefully remain so until her Daddy gets past his short stint at retirement.

A woman, standing nude, looks in the bedroom mirror and says
to her husband,

"I feel horrible, I look fat and ugly. Pay me a compliment."

The husband replies, "Your eyesight's damn near perfect."

He never heard the shot...

Even though we didnt get the chance to Do Launch, we had a great time. The 350 plus mile round trip drive, put us back in Boca at 1:30AM was worth it.

Tkey75 and Ms75 were wonderful hosts and just having the time to spend with a few more FT friends was great. (Even though two fo our new friends were upside down )

I'm glad you don't feel the trip was in vain. We had a great time, too, and we were actually up for a while that night talking about meeting all of you and how she now realizes that the people here I've told her about are not a figment of my imagination. She may even be enticed to post a bit herself, though from a strictly miles standpoint, she's glad that's my job.

What did you have a 17 year loan on it?

Let's not forget the part. This car was legendary here at FlyerTalk.

Good news, I just drove past the construction site of the newest Honda plant last night for the first time. It was over 2 miles long. So, they will be making plenty of them for you in the future.

Don't make it sound better than it is, you are only .125% of the way to 100k. Damn you, do you know how many minutes I just wasted on looking for a 1/8th character?
