This one is from several years ago, right at the beginning of the pandemic (March 2019 - my last flight before everything got grounded). Eric Holder and his entourage sat right in front of me on an E175 from DCA to LGA. Got the whole District VIP pre-pre-board treatment and all.
I was in 4A. The seat back in 3A was broken, so one of his aides spent the entire flight practically in my lap.
Oddly (IMHO), Holder followed me into an empty men's restroom in the D90 wing, and took the urinal right next to me. In a completely empty restroom.

Sat next to him at DCA at an airport bar (he wasn't drinking) for the 2013 NCAA bball tourney and he and his wife (?) watched the last few mins of the Michigan-Florida Elite Eight game with us. Nice guy. I vividly remember the entourage of secret service agents (he was AG at the time).
As an aside, the AG is actually protected by the FBI, not secret service.

Jimmy Carter - i was in Comfort +. The FA announced he was on the flight (in FC) and that to avoid a line of people to FC to meet him during flight, he was gonna go trhough the aisles and shake hands before the plane took off. And he did! He came all the way to the back and came forward and shaked whoever's hand that wanted to shake and smiled. He was very sweet and humble. A friend of mine builds home with him and Rossalyn for Habitat for Humanity. He said he was still on a ladder hammering nails even in his late 80's. He's hat to stop the hammering and ladders for the last few years though. Rossalyn would run tools and nails out to him.

On a flight to HNL over 20 years ago we were seated in FC with Helen Thomas, the political writer for White House. My husband helped her with her bags and we walked with her though the airport.

In the past five years or so, I sat next to Regina Benjamin (18th U.S. Surgeon General 2009-2013), who gave me her business card, Michigan State basketball coach Tom Izzo (who was doing income taxes during the flight), and Tammy Rivera from Love & Hip Hop Atlanta. They were great seatmates. The Surgeon General was very talkative and said she was going to a conference. Tammy was just fantastic. Before boarding, everyone wanted to take pictures with her, and I had no idea who this lady was. She sat next to me in F, along with the others. We talked the whole way from Buffalo to ATL. I even told her I had no clue who she was, and she said that made her happy (whatever that meant).
I left Tom Izzo to his own. Many folks walking down the aisle said, "Coach" this or that. Once airborne, he pulled out his tax forms and started filling them out. I didn't talk with the man or want to bother him.

Sounds like the JFK SkyClub had quite a few celebrities yesterday:
Channing Tatum, Zoë Kravitz spotted at JFK amid NYC snow (pagesix.com)
The hottest place to be during the snowstorm in NYC on Tuesday was in the Delta lounge at JFK.
As planes were grounded and travelers waited out delays, there were a number of celebs to be gawked at in the VIP Delta Sky Club space.

Bingo, celebrities get so many perks of free things. About 10 yrs back, one of the big Hollywood celebrities had a baby, and the Petunia Pickle bottom company wanted to get their new diaper bag out they gave this celebrity about 10K of products after birth this celebrity was in the news and so was the bag, the company took off. So to give two celebrities access to the club gave them free advertizing.

Flew last week ATL - GCM, returning this past week, had Mike Pence and his wife a few seats behind me on both flights. Sat in the cattle holding area just like everyone else in GCM, baseball hat, Ray Bans, and suitcoat. They flew main cabin both ways, which was surprising. Once he landed at ATL, he was met by 6-8 airport police escorted them from outside the jet bridge, through customs, and then off through baggage claim. Funny to watch him have to take off his hat and sunglasses going out to the plane at GCM past tarmac security and then again through customs Global Entry in ATL. Probably the safest I ever felt on a flight!
