Skymiles partner award in business in Asia - nonrefundable?

Hello all, I saw this question asked elsewhere, but didn't see an answer - apologies if I missed it

I'm looking at a possible Skymiles award flight in business from Bangkok to London via AMS on KLM - it's 80,000 miles but marked as "changeable/nonrefundable"

I can see on the Delta site that they removed reward/redeposit fees for award flights originating in the US/Canada

But do I take it that "nonrefundable" indeed means that if I booked that flight from Bangkok but couldn't take it, or change it, then the 80,000 points would be lost?

I presume it does (tho that seems a harsh policy compared to others) but thought I'd ask those more knowledgeable

Thanks for any guidance

It’s refundable. I’ve refunded lots of these trips.

How do you find this fare on-line?

[Sorry, not trying to hijack the thread but do want to know]

Non-refundabl just means there can be a fee to refund. Most Skymiles tickets don't have a fee. However as yours starts in Asia, there is a fee to redeposit/ change. Now not all agents know there's a fee, so many won't charge it.

It's a Skymiles booking. Not search what there's to explain.
