Is this just limited to Delta, or do women write their numbers down for you all over the place? I'm just wondering if I could follow you around for a day.

Crazy. Are you willing to spend extra on delta because of the note the FA was forced to write?

In the past, I've used those notes to light fire in my firepit.

Once it happened as we were literally taking the runway for takeoff. I was half asleep after having just arrived from MSP, and was quite alarmed to the have the FA gently wake me as we were starting the takeoff roll headed to BKK Have a few fights on KE next year and curious if it happens again.
As recently as a few weeks ago, the Purser on all 4 of my KE flights made sure to stop by and personally thank me (PM) and my wife for flying them when I was in Y.

Don't be fooled. Cats would never love anyone.

I do not believe FAs are forced to write notes to pax. It is encouraged but optional.

I've been loyal with them since 2003, and then they give me a note that says, "..it's the journey that makes the difference?" Well, the 20-year journey I've had quite exclusively with them doesn't seem to matter much to them anymore. Yes all the good treatment REALLY is a marketing ploy for us to 'feel appreciated,' and for quite a while I admittedly fell for the Jedi mindtricks they pulled - but no more. Thanks Delta for pushing it hard so that enough of us realize how transactional everything really has been.
I got this note on Sept 12th.

Did you know that Trader Joes cashiers are instructed by management to make a comment about one of the items that you purchased because it raises NPS at virtually no cost to the company? Keep that in mind next time they say, These are so good! Have you had them before?. And also maybe when you get a hand written note from a FA.

Hah! I guess it happened on DL most because I've flown them the most. One time on AS (still VX crew and livery) a FA handed me her phone number/email as I was deplaning. Since it was a transcon red-eye and I was on ambien, I have zero recollection of our interaction.

To keep this OT, I was an AA Platinum (DL Gold equivalent) for three years and never did they give a greetings note.

The notes are nice and all but it comes down to this.... Actions > words

Looks like you were in 19F? I wonder if DL FA's are instructed to give these out to so-called HVC's who didn't get the upgrade in an attempt to make them feel all warm and fuzzy after not getting the ug.

Telling me I'm appreciated while simultaneously reducing my benefits is something I personally interpret as pissing on my head then telling me it's raining.

And AA FAs come around and thank us personally, recognizing status etc.
But this is after they subject us to a blaring pitch for their dang credit cards.

Leaves me cold, the whole lot of it.

The notes and status recognition are a nice personal touch, but I'd rather have a PDB.
