MSP Question
We are flying MSP/HNL in April, this will be our first time flying with 6 bags ( 4 checked, 2 carry on) for two people and was wondering if Delta curbside check in at MSP is open now ?
If not how do we go about getting our bags to the check in counter ? I have seen luggage carts and airport employees pushing them but have no idea how to get one.
I'm thinking of getting a car service from Rochester as we usually use EZ air park but so many bags would be a hassle.
We have Delta One seats, does that get us any lounge access at MSP ?
Thanks

I can't recall (although will try to look tomorrow when I fly out of MSP) whether the Skycap/curbside is back or not. As a worst case, perhaps you could be dropped at the arrivals level and get a cart from the baggage claim area (for a fee), then head upstairs to check in. I'll take a look!

Most rolling bags have connectors available these days. It's not pretty, but I've used those to chain bags together and get to the bag check before. I think I've personally moved 4 bags that way when my kids were small.
Some non-rolling carry-ons also have a flap/slot on the back where you can slide it over the handle of a rolling suitcase.

If traveling from Rochester, consider taking one of the two shuttle services, which drop off near the curbside bag check at the parking ramp, which would make for easy check-in and may be less expensive than car service.
Also, there are some “add a bag” straps that can tie two roller suitcases together if needed.

I guess this idea from ~2014 didn't catch on, because the domain name now leads to a squatter website

Isn't there an actual DL checkin desk on left side of upper roadway? Not Skycaps, but actual DL agents at actual checkin positions. I know there used to be at least.

Yes, there is one on I believe Level 2 across the road. I checked in there after getting a rapid PCR test up a level a few weeks ago.

When you add the price of home pickup ( Which they told me they couldn't guarantee until the week of our trip) and an extra bag each it wasn't much cheaper.
We allow one piece of checked luggage, a carry-on, and a purse or briefcase per person. Any pieces over this are allowed at a charge $15 and is subject to space availability
I have no interest in leaving my car parked in an ungated lot at Groome for 2 weeks and Rochester shuttle uses Microtel as it's long term parking at $4 a day ......... I'm not leaving my car in either place for 2 weeks.
ROCHESTER WITH PARKING
Microtel Inn & Suites at 4210 Hwy 52 North has parking available at a charge of $4 per day with a maximum of 14 days. Please register and pay at the front desk of the hotel prior to departure. After flying about 10 hours from OGG the last thing I will want to to is drag my bags from bag claim to the Groome pickup spot and then possibly wait a couple hours for a ride home............considering what I spent on DL One seats I'm not too concerned about a few extra bucks for a car service.

Thanks but I don't think that will work for me.
