Imagine all how those DL flyers who flew between Jan. 1-April 1 feel now that all that travel did not receive the MQD bonus?! Luckily, I did not fly much those first few months (largely because there was no in flight service), and now most of my DL flights are after April 10, when the bonus applies and a (slightly) higher level of service resumes in flight

Might as well start a new thread on this. Highlights are basically that you earn 50% more MQM and MQD on economy flights from April through December, and 75% more on premium cabin (including Delta comfort). For those aiming for Diamond, this seems to imply about $8,600 in premium spend to reach 15,000 MQD, or $10,000 in economy spend to reach 15,000 MQD. Award flights also appear to qualify for status as well now.
EDIT - Mods, feel free to rename the title to 2022 if appropriate

That Delta Vacations package I booked during the Labor Day 2019 promo and had to cancel because of COVID is looking pretty sweet. Based on my reading of this, I’m about to get a whole lot of MQMs and MQDs for my miles that I redeemed at 2 cents per mile into Delta One.

Upgrades on popular routes will be nonexistent for the rest of the year - everyone is now incentivized to buy up to first class, including using miles.

This is a great add. I've got the MQD waiver almost knocked out with my Delta AMEX and had 50k roll so this should make getting the 25k I need to keep Platinum a fairly easy task

https://news.delta.com/delta-fast-tr...-rewarded-more

As part of these new program offers, which apply to Medallion Qualification Miles (MQMs), Medallion Qualification Segments (MQSs) and Medallion Qualification Dollars (MQDs):
Delta was the first airline to extend 2020 Medallion Status into 2021 and the only airline to offer Rollover MQMs to give customers a head start on 2022 Status in response to the impact of COVID-19 on travel. Delta also recently announced improvements to Upgrade Certificates, making them more rewarding and easier to use.

Delta and Amex are also extending the following unused and active travel benefits through June 30, 2022, giving customers additional time to enjoy their benefits. These extensions will happen automatically over the coming weeks, with no action needed from customers.
*Flights operated by airlines other than Delta and tickets included as part of a travel package where the ticket price is not disclosed (other than Delta Vacations packages) are excluded from the promotion.

Perhaps, but it's only an 0.25 difference between economy and premium (1.5X vs 1.75X) and you can get the 1.75X for booking comfort+ without buying up to F.

For international fights, I wonder if booking partner-coded flights in J, specifically "core" partners (e.g., KL, AF, AZ, AM, etc.), is generally still more lucrative in terms of MQMs and MQDs.
With the addition of 1.5 or 1.75 times the MQMs/MQD/RDMs on DL-coded flights, it adds another layer of complexity
