Correct. I was referring to when DL flew it the first time, originally on the 772 routing ATL-JFK-BOM-JFK-ATL. When DL received its 77Ls they switched it to ATL-BOM nonstop and it lasted maybe one season after that.

This isn't as many flights as it could be given the volume of people. LH is running 2x daily 747/A380 to New Zealand for many days to get all the Europeans home...

Anyone hearing reports from actually being on a these types of flights? Is it the normal DL main cabin and DL One service or probably the new streamlined COVID version?

The water and snacks only service is only for domestic and short haul (no D1)international.

Yep I’ve read about the intl differences. Ironic that Intl which has more “touch points in service” gets to keep some semblance of service while domestic which naturally has less service touch points got the axe.

Really don’t understand DL’s reasoning these days other than to cut costs on their domestic routes.

DL3340 / 3341 ORD-FRA-ORD since April 4

Delta was flying 777 between ORD and FRA since ateast April 4 as DL 3340/3341.

Rescue flights or cargo?

I do not see any tickets on sale for these flights.

PPT-HNL and other DL flight anomalies

Aviation geek-browsing Flightaware and Flightradar I've come across some curious DL flights which I suppose are apropos of the times. DL8874 seems to be the flight designation of large birds like the 77L 763, and the A333 on what seem to be charter flights. The one I noticed to today is PPT-HNL. Others are PPG-HNL and EZE-SLC .

What are these flights for? Are they re-purposed cargo flights?

Repatriation flights. EZE-SLC (and many other flights to SLC) were for bringing Mormon missionaries back home.
There have been other repatriation flights for US citizens organized by the US government including PPT-HNL and BOM-ATL. This week also saw some military repatriation flights UTP-HNL.

There are some cargo-only flights now such as ORD-FRA and DTW-ICN-PVG. These are usually DL33XX flight numbers.

I do wonder if anyone took photos on A.NET of a DL 76Z in PPG and PPT.

Looks like the plane flying PPT - HNL had a fun route this week:

SLC - MEX - SLC - HNL - PPG - HNL - PPT - HNL - SLC. That's a milk run I'd love to be on
