Gladly it doesn't seem like anything serious no one hurt!

Although I do like the thought of a LGA-DEN flight diverting to PINHEIRO, MARANHAO in South America.

The most amazement to me is that DL flies LGA-DEN. Fascinating.

LGA is a large hub for Delta (they are the largest carrier there by far) and DEN has a perimeter rule exception.

Edited - I didn't realize that DL counted both LGA and JFK as hubs!

I mean, it's not like AA has an identical setup in the same friggin city, albeit with a smaller JFK op (but still hub-status)

Looks like it was a 738 N377DA and is 20.9 years old.

AA may call it a hub, but with flights to a half dozen or so non-hub domestic cities and only a handful of Int'l routes, I'd say that's a stretch at best.

Fascinating how quickly these things are already back in the air... Started flying again 12 hours later.

that may have had to do with the time of day ... maintenance at PHL may well have had the issue resolved in a couple hours, but I’m guessing the same crew operated the ferry flight to ATL which is where the jet got back into the schedule rotation (for all we know, it may have been scheduled to operate DEN-ATL the next morning and make up that same 3pm flight anyway)
