While it would be nice to use a 24" 4K IFE screen for work, I think it raises some privacy concerns. So I'd guess most would forgoe the extra screen real estate and stick to their 13-14 inch laptop screen.
However, using the HDMI to play video on the bigger IFE screen makes perfect sense to me.
