Canceling award ticket- taxes/fees refunded?

Looking to cancel a LAX-LHR round trip award ticket booked with miles (36K) and taxes/fees $185 paid with both gift card ($100) and CC. I know Delta charge $150 for the redeposit of miles, however will the taxes/fees that I paid be refunded? Also, how will they process the $100 refund paid with the gift card? Instead of charging me $150, can they just take that from the already paid $185 and refund the difference?

Cancellation more than 72 hours in advance requires a $150 fee except for PM and DM and all taxes go back to the original form of payment. For gift cards you might get a DL voucher instead.

Thanks!

Is the Delta voucher any different from a gift card?

Not sure. But DL vouchers expire and gift cards don’t.
