I didn't realize this club was all the way down at the other end of the G gates ... somehow I had been imagining it basically upstairs near the existing F/G lounge. I guess this location may help with crowding somewhat -- and perhaps reduce the degree to which the load is taken off the F/G club -- since it is pretty out of the way for many, especially those originating in MSP (as long as the Skyway TSA checkpoint remains closed, at least). Though it's not terrible for A, B, C and D gates via the Skyway and train.

Food is exactly the same. The music is a bit too loud for me. The announcements are even louder. I would have moved to the old Sky Club if not for my wife who likes it here.

Just wait until DL brings in a DJ ;-)

Got back to the old F/G Sky Club. There was a welcome Champaigne and Macaroons serving near the check-in counters. Much less crowded and quieter. This will remain my preferred lounge at MSP.

Crowded but lots of empty seats. Pretty lounge. Long trek to go out this way though if gate isn't nearby.

I don't really see a strong case for showers at MSP, given the routes in and out of MSP, except for the limited service to Asia. Personally, I don't find showers important unless I have a long connection after an overnight flight. I think that all of the arriving TATL routes are from morning departures in Europe. I'm curious if others think differently and think that showers would be important at MSP?

I was in the new club at 0530 this morning. My flight from LAS parked at gate G18, which turns out to be the closest gate to the new club (where the connector to the C, B and A concourses starts.

I liked the new club. The men's bathroom was much more spacious than in the two existing clubs. There is also a gender neutral restroom.

There are work carrels in there, which is nice if you have a longer layover and need to work for a while.

I didn't see any champagne or macaroons, but the breakfast foods included cinnamon crumb cakes.

Before the pandemic Delta was having electronic dance music DJs on the SkyDeck at JFK at least one a week.

Not sure how much else I can add, but here’s a try:

• Bar has plugs at almost every single seat- two outlets and two USB
• Bathroom has floor to Ceiling doors, and the sinks have a hand dryer next to the water nozzle. Pretty cool
• Bathrooms also have a weird “wave hand to open” sensor slightly out of sight because it is so small. The doors are VERY heavy, and hard to manually open. The auto open rate is pretty slow too. Weird, IMO.
• There are two Delta agents with desks ostensibly to help with reservation issues and the like. Will try to ask them about an oversold situation here later to see exactly how much power they have
• The “secret drink” is “thistle while you werk”. Basically a take on an espresso martini and it is very good, if you’re into herbal and aromatic liquers.
• Big plates!! Finally! Larger and more spread area to get food. Also has a Touch screen Coca Cola looking machine.
  

Will continue to add as I notice small stuff, but if you have more than an hour or so to spend and don’t mind the walk, I highly recommend camping out in this lounge

Anyone encountered the line “We cant open the outside spaces because of the current flight pattern” at the new G Club? That’s the explanation the bartenders gave this morning.

Besides that, it’s been nice enjoying great runway views from the club. Definite improvement over the F club.
