Definitely do this instead of burning absurd amounts of miles for what is ultimately as long as a TATL flight from the eastern half of the US. What is US-Southwest Pacific on partner metal these days? 220k round trip for J?

I booked 1 seat on the AF flight in economy in Sept 2016 for travel in Jan 2017. Got the exact date I wanted, and booked on DL.com. I guess I got lucky.
