Delta 5621. Why is Delta sending crj's to FLL? Trying to get them damaged in a storm and and get an insurance check?

I wondered where you were, I am so sorry that Delta continue not to believe you know better than anyone in America how to run an airline

we need some levity and I am sure you can provide it.

I was just asking a question. A CRJ-200 on ATL-FLL is highly unusual.

So much for that final domestic 747 run earlier this week. They're using it DTW-MCO today.

It'll probably pick up some domestic Thanksgiving routes too. The "final" flight was ceremonial only

Don't know when that SEA-MCO flight is scheduled for, but I would gladly bet you 100K SMs that it does not fly :-)

That's a good bet.

Based on current forecasts, Monday afternoon is supposed to be some of the worst of it for Atlanta. They are forecasting wind gusts of 80mph for Monday afternoon. I was supposed to fly out of there at 6PM and changed my routing. Best case, is that you'll have significant delays.

Will Delta move their aircraft out of ATL? MEM and a PIT have plenty of spare gates.

Had booked DL369 to ATL arriving Monday evening
Was strongly advised to rebook to Sunday
Sounds like ATL is expecting a full operations stop

I am doing MSP-ATL Monday late afternoon. Tried to change online travel dates ( after Sep 30), still tried to change me a change fee of 200$. I guess I will have to call.

I'm scheduled for LGA-ATL on Monday afternoon, arriving at 2:30 PM. Thanks for the heads up about trying to change online. I guess I'll call too.

Yeah, because of Hurricane Irma. The entire operations will be shutdown. All aircraft will be relocated to different airports.

No, don't call Delta. They are too extremely busy. You can't call Delta now. They will rebooked you for next flight. They will automatically you.

We are planned to arrive in MCO Sept 19th for a weeks stay, I'm waiting for DL to return my call to speak to them, what's the chances that DL will allow us to change our destination city from MCO to say BOS? Not too sure what kind of condition MCO will be for visitors. I used my PLT certificate for this flight.

It's really not good that the IT is not up to speed on this issue. This will cause countless people to call in for simple things that should be able to be handled online, and thus jam up phone systems. There are certainly plenty of customers with complex issues that require an agent.

The theme parks will move heaven and earth to be open by Wed at the latest. I bet they open by noon Tuesday.

I know that there were some accusations going around about price gouging. I personally don't think there was ever any intention to do that and that that prices rose because the algorithm did not account for the storm.

I think it's really important to note that DL went above and beyond and did a public service by putting 747's on routes to evacuate Florida, and with very low price caps. There is no way that these routes are going to be profitable, so it really is a kind of donation of services, and they should be applauded for it. Were they motivated by publicity? Maybe. But the outcome is still the same, and it's an important outcome.
