Operational question: Looking at the last few days of FR24 for DL410 the aircraft is coming in as PEK-SEA then SEA-JFK then JFK-LHR. While anything can happen, it seems unlikely they'd downgauge just the SEA-JFK leg?

It's not impossible though if it were to occur it would probably happen at the last minute. I was flying LAX-HNL about 2 months ago on the 26J 767 which typically continues onto NRT or KIX. I was sitting at the Starbucks in T2 at LAX when I heard them make an announcement that our aircraft had been downgraded to a 75H.

I've flown SEA-JFK a few times on a Sunday (albeit Sunday is a vastly different story than Saturday) on a 76W.... And I've always had to use an RUC and never have cleared prior to boarding.
Last time I did it I was #2 (as a DM with RUC on an S fare) for 1 seat, and then 1 no-show got me my 9B seat.
