Garuda Indonesia Award - Only 1 Business Seat?

Has anyone else seen that Garuda only seems to have 1 business set per flight on the PEK/PVG/HKG to DPS/CGK?

I am trying to get form the US to Indonesia in January so I would like to avoid stopping in (COLD) PEK and opt for HKG instead. Either way, it does not seem possible to get 2 business seats on Garuda.

Anyone have better luck?

I can get Business on CI (China Airlines) HKG-CGK

Not sure if this is better than Y on Garuda HKG-DPS.

I plan to visit both Jakarta and Bali.

I have Y seats held. Will they charge the $150 fee per ticket if J opens up and I want to change seats?

I would go with CI in J over GA in Y. Not just because it's J, but CI J is a nice product. They've upgraded the seats to all-aisle and the service is great. Is it GA J? No. However, the differences aren't that major.

Did you find those on DL.com or did you call? Right now DL.com is not showing any non-stop J availability for 2 seats on any day Nov to Feb on NRT-DPS.

I'm still not seeing 2 J seats on Garuda in May of next year, only seeing one. Kind of a problem...

Europe to/from CGK/DPS

Anyone have luck with securing 2 tix ex-AMS or vice versa in J searching on DL? I have had better luck searching from LHR, but would prefer to leave from continental Europe. We won't leave until Oct. 2018 (yay honeymoon!) so have at least a couple of weeks (and more for close in). Has anyone seen different availability on this route?

Yes, but generally not available at same time. If you find one grab it. Then grab another on KLMs flight. Keep a lookout or set an alert for space to open on the GA flight. If not GM or higher, there's a $150 change fee. However this way you'll both know you're at least flying same day, even if one must take a different partner.

Also look via m.delta.com or the DL App. The normal delta.com and phone agent engine will sometimes miss availability.

Thank you! Will do. I will be GM soon and will continue through next year most likely. Thankfully, there is a ton of 1 seat availability so I will hop on it when my dates open.

I actually haven't seen any availability on KLM metal. Just a bunch of China Southern etc. I will definitely check the app. I will likely be piecing together a AMS-CGK-DPS (unless we spend some time in Jakarta), so will likely have to call an agent to book. I wonder if they will charge me. I will ask for the waiver.

Found 2 in J for DPS-ICN for trip in June. Have not been able to find even one for any route using GA trying to get to DPS in May. Are in Y at the moment.

What is the change fee for GM? I thought only PM and higher got it waived?

Same, excepting that I am checking for November. Really no availability.

Correct. Only PM and DM get free award ticket changes/cancels/redeposits.

IIRC the fee is still $150 per ticket for GM and lower.
