It used to be very very good here, before TSA reconfigured the security lines. I loved the dedicated PreCheck line for SkyPriority, and it was well located too.

We desperately need CLEAR.

Clear almost seems like a waste at DCA, although it is good for dodging the long PreCheck line during rush hour.

Didn't MSP finally order those automatic bin dispensers and conveyors last week? Might increase the capacity this summer travel season.

SLC-LHR last week had about 6 empty J seats and I think 116 empty Y seats.

Tomorrow's CDG-DTW shows 110 empty Y seats.

Both flights are 763's

At BOS waiting to board 848 to DTW.

Looks like 100% in F, 60% in C+ and 55% in C-

Actually, looks more like 40% in C+/C-

I just got my SIN-NRT leg cleared with a GUC one month out. Based on my own experiences and many comments in the GUC thread, that route usually clears at the gate. Something's going on. That week is usually one of the busiest air travel seasons in Singapore (school holidays).

As someone who transits PBI-ATL-XXX-ATL-PBI weekly I have no clue what an empty plane is or a F upgrade this time of year.

Heck I usually ticket 10 days in and it's hard to even get an aisle C+ seat.

Flew JL 7, BOS-NRT, in J, and it was maybe half full in both J & Y. My return will be on CX 812, HKG-BOS, in F in a couple of weeks. As of right now, I'm the only person in F and there's hardly anyone in J or Y.

Flights are packed this weekend

Grand total of eight people on the early AM CVG-EWR leg yesterday. It's often a light load but this was ridiculous. Six in FC and 2 in Y/C+ on a CR9.

Yes, with much fanfare, but who knows when this stuff will actually be implemented.

Not just DL. i just got back from a trip to BDL. Was on AA this week, but on both flights ATL-CLT-BDL I had a row to myself. On the return BDL-CLT was full, but I still had an empty middle on the flight home to ATL.

One fun thing was on ATL-CLT there was a guy going to surprise his girlfriend for Valentine's Day. He had a giant, almost person-sized stuffed bear. Since the flight was empty, he took the window seat and buckled the bear into the aisle seat. Both of them had two armrests each. Kinda wish I'd snapped a photo.

Back in the late 70s, True Value Hardware in Minnesota sold 2 foot tall plastic penguin lawn ornaments (think pink flamingo but without the long legs). I bought a dozen and brought them with me as gifts when visiting friends. They never get seats but they did fit nicely into overhead bins.
You can still find them on Amazon, but what cost about $5 is now $59.

The continued pull-down of the NRT hub is almost certainly affecting this route. I'd be stunned if this flight and NRT hub itself is still around in another 12 to 18 months.

this was during early boarding for my AS BWI-SEA flight in early Dec ... I was in the second row of Y, so didn't actually see what he did in terms of stowing it or buckling it in
