All HOOU are digital now. It doesn't matter what level you are. The JWD are still paper.

Got my credentials on Saturday (email was actually on 10/14). Paper JWD. I checked my wallet and four drink coupons have been added. However, while last year's have an expiration date of February 2, 2017, the new ones expire October 14, 2017 (exactly one year). Moot point since have been sitting in C+.

However, there was no mention of choice benefits in the accompanying letter (or the original email).

Never got my PM credentials in Jan...

but got my DM credentials today!!!! I'm very excited, as this is my first time reaching DM :D It took 6 weeks to arrive, but I'm based in Europe so pretty understandable.

Made PM when I landed in NRT from SIN. So doubt I get anything this year but maybe next year I'll get tags/paper/card/etc?

Or maybe they will eliminate that stuff too :)

You should get it. I don't know why they don't just stop sending the packets at beginning of the year. The cards they issue already have a through date of 2018. They could simply issue a card when you requalify for those who already had status.

I'm making PM for the first time next week, should be crossing the 75K MQM mark somewhere between Morocco and Niger on a VS flight to JNB. I hope I can get the brag tags, as I never got the GM ones :)

I still have my 4 HOOU coupons and set to expire on 1/31/2017. Any ideas on what to do with them, since my remaining DL flights are either TATL or in Premium Economy/First ?

Use them as bookmarks? I do that with a couple of old UA RCC chits.

Otherwise, I give them to friends, family, colleagues, or random seatmates.

They are all digital, that's the main issue. My last flight of the year is only a few days before christmas. I'll just wear a Santa Hat and walk around Economy offering drinks on me as a christmas present :)

Made Gold for the first time.

Wednesday: flew MSY-DTW-MSN to get enough MQDs to hit GM
Thursday: flights posted but still showed Silver status
Friday: updated to Gold status, got a window upgrade, got digital drink coupons

Hit PM for the first time on Wednesday by 16 miles. This morning PM Status appeared and 530PM Today an email congratulating me.

My drinks tickets already appeared in my wallet as the email said. No mention of tags coming. I still have my never used FO and GM.


On a separate note the Skymiles team helped me in a huge way Wednesday night. Needed to cancel a 7 ticket reward trip set for Sunday. 1115AM Thursday was the T-72 to cancel. Without PM it was $1050 to redeposit 171,000 miles.

After a 45 minute call they acknowledge my trip completed at 5PM that night cleared PM. They then got an Award Person on the phone to cancel Wednesday Night and not risk No PM status show Thursday Morning.

It was very nice to have them issue the credit before I was officially qualified or being asked.

I got my 2018 Diamond card and bag tags about 3 weeks after the flights credited. Also the drink coupons showed up electronically in My Wallet almost right away from the DM change.
