Check In for Segment Run

hey all;

Earlier this year, I completed a Origin-ATL-PIT-ATL-Origin segment run and was able to check in for Origin-ATL-PIT and then PIT-ATL-Origin. Now I've got one more thats Origin-DTW-FLL-ATL-Origin run and check in lets me get to Origin-DTW-FLL-ATL even though we're past 24 hours for ATL-Origin. Is this just delta.dumb, or is there something more nefarious at work?

Tried on both mobile and desktop, neither will even show the last segment.

It might be related to the fare construction on your ticket. Do you have a broken fare and, if so, where?

Do this. Manually check in by clicking the check in drop down and enter your Skymiles number and the departure airport as Atlanta

good call to both of yall... doesn't seem to be broken, but the fare code shows ATL as the destination on this trip, whereas PIT was on the last go around, and check-in from the drop down worked just fine. That would be a horrible way to get to ATL and I'm surprised that deltamatic let me book it when it didn't even want to let me book JFK-ATL-RDU later in the month. Thanks for the advice!

Totally irrelevant, but if I was connecting through ATL both ways, would dl.dumb have given me both flight options to check in, or not let me see the second?

On MR before, I had to check in for part of the MR after the MR started even though it was inside the 24 hr. It took my turn point to be the destination and so I had to complete the "outbound" before it let me check in for the "return".

This. You can check in and obtain boarding passes for up to three flights. If you have a 4th, it will simply show you a connection information document instead of a boarding pass. But checking in from the homepage and manually entering the departure city will let you check in for additional downstream segments.

So if you're flying AAA-BBB-CCC-DDD-EEE-FFF, check in once and receive BPs for AAA-BBB-CCC-DDD. Then check in again specifying DDD as your departure airport (once you are within 24 hours of that departure).

This is good to know.

I wish there were a way her to copy some especially useful posts to some master wiki or stick.

I just ran LAX MSP ANC MSP LAX and I had some glitches with the app. When I checked in for LAX - ANC it also checked me in for MSP - LAX on the return, despite being outside of 24 hours (I showed up on the UG list and the app showed "checked in".

I was not however checked into ANC - MSP, so when I boarded I got the red flash and the agent had to do something before I could board, I'm guessing check me in. I didn't lose my upgrade though, thankfully.

One option would be to create a folder within your subscriptions that you can title "Useful Tips" or something like that. Unfortunately, I think you can only add full threads to there and not individual posts. I use the folders for trip planning where I'll add all the useful threads I find about the hotels I'm planning to stay out, airports I'm transiting, activities in the city I'm visiting, etc in a folder such as "Australia Trip 2016." You could also save a file on your computer or Google Drive with links to especially helpful posts. The problem I find with all these is remembering to look it up.
