This problem applies to the Delta app for both Android and iOS users, where seat maps cause "I'm sorry, the app has experienced technical error" message and returns to previous screen. Pertinent posts below with newest at the top.

Please update this Wiki as updates, work-arounds are available for both Android and iOS. Since for those of us affected, this is more than an annoyance. Come on Delta IT - GET THIS FIXED !

I spoke to the web help desk in Dallas today and they said the issue mainly effects Diamond and Platinum flyers...IT has known about the issue for 2 weeks and yes the fix did not work.....
for my upcoming trip which has 6 segments, I can view seats on segments 2 and 3 only..all the others get the "i'm sorry" error message

I went back and tried my next couple of trips and used the segment seat change option. On one trip the 3rd segment gave me a seat map. On another trip the 2nd and 4th segments gave me maps. All other segments gave me an error. Using the main change seat selection gave me errors for all the days of all my trips.

For me it is a particular flight. I have 5 flights in 2 days, and flight #3 always gives error message that app has experienced problem. The other 4 flights, no problemo.

Seatmap Issues on Android and iOS

For the last couple of weeks I get an error message whenever I try to look at a seat map for any of my reservations on the Delta App on my Samsung running Android version 4.4.2. I've tried reinstalling the App with no success. Is anyone else having the same problem or figured out how to fix the problem?

I have had the same problem but did a full restart of my phone and it worked.

Did you do an entire reset? I've taken the battery out and when I replaced it the problem still exists.

I've been having issues as well, using the iPhone app.
Not issue for all fights but for a lot of them. The latest update (yesterday) was supposed to fix the issue but it's still not working well today.

Which version of the Delta App do you have? No problems for me with Delta App 3.2 on a Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 running Android 4.4.2.

I have a Note 2 and the problem started when I upgraded to 3.2.

Seat problem on Delta Mobile App for 3 weeks

So I'm into my 3rd week of lots of difficulty bringing up my seats on the Delta Mobile app on my iphone 5S....I have an upcoming trip with 6 segments and only 2 flights display the seat maps the 2nd and 3rd legs...I have a friend travelling with me on the exact same 6 flights and all 6 segments will display on my phone with his locator...I've trouble shot it with 2 agents in Dallas one using an android phone and one using an iphone 6 and they get the same issue....we have re-issued my ticket multiple times....so it seems to be a corrupt record locator...as I Diamond medallion I have 15 upcoming trips booked and about 1/2 will not load some of the legs seat maps....I generally have time-out issues with the app with that many future trips but that's been a separate issue...so I've been using it as a guest with just 2 trips loaded at a time...and yes an update just went through on 4/21 and yes i still have the problem...anyone else have this error message..on seat maps "we're sorry"....

I just went to the Google Play Store and it still has version 3.2. Is there another version somewhere else since that version has been there a few weeks and doesn't work?

As of a couple mins ago, I still can't access the seat maps for my upcoming trip--except for the first segment. What's going on?!

They've only released 3.3 for Apple devices so far.
