Have never tried this, but it sounds good!
Honestly some folks are just made different I think -- if I have more than 2 drinks on a long flight, after about 1 hour I get a terrible altitude hangover. On the ground these things never happen, only when I'm on a long flight. This is even as I slam water (see thumbs up above)

Screwdriver before noon, G&T after noon, unless the flight has IFE and I'm watching a game...then I default to beer.
I will sometimes go for the margarita, or DL's version of the paloma, tequila and Fresca.
More often than not though, just diet Coke, but that's not too exciting.....

Question about Champagne..
I love champagne and would love to order it for my PDB but I feel weird asking for it as my PDB since it sounds so cliché and is a hassle for the FAs to open the bottle.
What are your thoughts? Should I not worry about this and just order it?

Trend setter
I have noticed recently that on early am departures I tend to set a trend. The PDB order will be something like:
1a- Coffee, 1b- Coffee, 1c- Diet coke, 1d- water, 2a, water, 2b (me)- Bloody Mary, 2c- Bloody Mary, 2d- Bloody Mary, 3a-Bloody Mary, etc.....
It appears there are plenty of closet morning drinkers out there they just don't want to be the first
